Born into a family of traditional terracotta potters in Khurja, Uttar Pradesh, Kamla Devi started learning pottery from her grandmother at age 9.
Over the last three decades, she has preserved rare wood-firing techniques while introducing organic glazes made from mineral earths and natural vegetable pigments.
"When people buy handcrafted pottery, they support our children's education and keep Indian cultural heritage alive."
